Job summary

Follett Higher Education is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Flagstaff, AZ to support the Market Leader in overseeing daily store operations and driving sales through superior customer service and brand standards. You will mentor team members, coordinate schedules, and ensure merchandising and cash handling procedures are followed while contributing to store performance and customer satisfaction.

The role requires availability to meet business needs and offers a pay rate of $20.00–$23.94

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent preferred.
• 0-5 years of retail or bookstore experience preferred; prior supervisory experience preferred.
• General Computer Skills required.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work activities of sales team members FT/PT and temporary staff; schedules hours.
• Onboards new hires.
• Greet customers, answer phones, provide information, resolve escalated issues; promote a hassle-free customer service culture.
• Receive, verify, and unload orders; operate cash register and store computer for payments and deposits.
• Stock shelves and take inventory; assist with merchandising and displays.
• Open/close responsibilities as a keyholder; assist during breaks and peak periods.
• Manage deposits, cash handling accuracy, and end-of-month reporting; balance drawers and prepare reports.
