Job summary

Shoe Carnival is seeking an energetic Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations as a key holder in a full-time role. You will lead by example, support the General Manager, and drive a customer-first environment with strong service standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing, coaching associates, managing cash, and ensuring loss prevention and merchandising standards are met. Flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends, is required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Excellent customer service and a positive attitude.
• At least 2 years of retail or customer service experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is a plus.
• Must obtain Key Carrier Certification within 60 days.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be at least 18 years old due to keyholder responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Open and close the store as a key holder.
• Support the General Manager in reaching sales goals.
• Lead customer service efforts and resolve issues professionally.
• Train and guide associates on processes and standards.
• Delegate daily tasks and coordinate breaks.
• Assist with visual merchandising and store presentation.
• Perform register overrides, safe/till counts, and cash reconciliation.
• Follow and promote loss prevention procedures.
