Family Dollar seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development in Junction, Texas. The role includes assisting with daily functions, merchandising, and payroll-related tasks while ensuring standards and safety.

You will work closely with the Store Manager to supervise staff, train associates, and maintain a high-energy, customer-focused environment. The position is part-time and requires good communication and physical stamina.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and handle physical store duties.
• Strong communication and organizational skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions
• Assist in organizing merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional storefront fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, record keeping and loss prevention
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Adhere to safety policies and store procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise and train Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment
• Ensure store areas are neat and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
