Chico's FAS, Inc. - Retail is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in driving a customer- and product-focused sales culture. You will oversee sales operations, asset protection, and HR tasks to maximize profitability while delivering exceptional customer experiences.

The role emphasizes leadership, training, scheduling, and visual standards across store operations. You will coach and develop a high-performing team, lead by example in MAPS service, and ensure compliance

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of retail management experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
• Able to learn or adapt to technology provided by the company.
• Proven excellent customer service skills with statistical track record in all areas of sales and leadership.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership qualities, training and team building skills.
• Knowledge of administrative aspects of store operations.
• Able to communicate with customers and staff.
• Regular attendance is essential to this position; ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs and implements in-store sales strategies.
• Sets clear expectations and holds team accountable for standards.
• Controls payroll and supply budget.
• Manages scheduling, audits, inventory, open/close duties, and payroll accuracy.
• Handles cash, price changes, and merchandise processing per policy.
• Ensures compliance with laws and loss prevention policies; trains associates on controls.
• Oversees inventory receipt/dispatch and daily replenishment of floor stock.
• Maintains visual presentation, organization, and store facilities.
• Develops a high-performance team to meet sales and productivity goals.
• Trains and coaches selling team on product knowledge and store processes.
• Assists with locating fulfillment and selling.
