Job summary

Cash America Pawn in Arlington, TX is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead and develop staff, recruit talent, and drive store profitability while maintaining a customer-focused environment.

This role requires at least 6 months of management or 3rd key experience, a flexible retail schedule including weekends, and the ability to handle cash, POS systems, and inventory. You will earn an hourly wage plus commission and performance bonuses.

Qualifications

• Minimum Age: 18 years old
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Must be willing and able to work a flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays
• Assistant Store Managers will work 40+ hours a week

Responsibilities

• Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
• Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets the prescribed FirstCash standards.
• Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
• Opens and closes the store, including counting cash drawers and merchandise, and ensuring all procedures are followed to protect assets.
• Ensures asset protection through inventory control, property safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
• Administer processes within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, store systems, and reporting.
• Evaluate the store's financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal setting.
• Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to ensure value and integrity of all loans issued.
• Communicate clearly with employees to ensure understanding of mission and profit objectives.
• Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
• The Assistant Store Manager acts as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
