Job summary

Dollar Tree in Union, Missouri is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with merchandise flow, organize stock, and help maintain clean, approachable storefronts.

The role covers opening/closing procedures, scheduling, cash handling, loss prevention, and coaching Store Associates to deliver exceptional service in a fast-paced retail environment. Part-time position.

Qualifications

• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and frequent standing and bending.
• Prior experience with payroll, scheduling, and loss prevention is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns they may have.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Manage corporate directives and communicate store activities to staff.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record-keeping.
• Maintain a well-stocked and organized store environment.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safety guidelines.
• Help supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness of the store including bathrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.
