Job summary

Lids Sports Group in Los Angeles is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to drive sales growth and deliver outstanding customer service. You will coach associates, maintain merchandising standards, and ensure a clean, well-presented store in line with company policy.

The role requires strong communication, reliability, and the ability to manage inventory, scheduling, and daily operations. This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for advancement within the national retail network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; 1 year of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to drive retail sales while minimizing loss.
• Clear, professional verbal communication and strong interpersonal skills.
• Computer proficiency and ability to learn retail software and POS systems.
• Ability to work independently with sound judgment.

Responsibilities

• Lead service behaviors to produce sales gains and support KPIs.
• Model selling and ensure accurate, timely resolution of customer needs.
• Maintain visuals including proper merchandising, signage, cleanliness, and store readiness.
• Deliver documented feedback on sales performance and coaching opportunities.
• Set expectations aligned with Company objectives and follow up for results.
• Protect Company assets by following policies and best practices.
• Assist with scheduling to provide coverage within wage guidelines.
• Manage inventory processes including receiving, transfers, price changes, and counts.
• Open and close the store per Operations guidelines and maintain records.
