Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Palestine, Texas to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and maintain a well-stocked, safe environment.

You will also participate in opening/closing procedures and staff development. The role emphasizes strong communication, teamwork, and leadership in a high-energy retail setting, with opportunities for growth and career advancement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor as needed.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of store-front fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain areas of the store to company standards and ensure safety and loss prevention.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
