Goodwill Industries of Southwestern Michigan in South Haven is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee daily store operations and production goals within a fast-paced retail environment.

You will train and coach team members, manage sales performance, stock control, cash handling and compliance with safety guidelines, while upholding the organization’s values and mission. Reliable vehicle and willingness to work varied hours to open or close the store are required.

Qualifications

• Interpersonal skills, leadership and problem solving.
• Experience handling cash and transactions.
• Strong reading, writing, speaking and communication abilities.
• Ability to train and explain processes to others.
• Motivate self and others and lead by example.
• Supervisory experience preferred; retail/merchandising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train and coach team members to perform at high levels.
• Demonstrate competence across store roles and tasks.
• Meet and exceed sales goals through service, production, merchandising and accurate business practices.
• Maintain proper in-store stock levels and rotation of merchandise.
• Oversee all cash handling procedures.
• Follow safety and retail guidelines and procedures.
• Perform additional duties to ensure smooth, profitable operation of the facility.
