Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties including walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Support store directives, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling tasks.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and loss prevention measures.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets including cash.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety guidelines, and procedures.
• Assist Store Manager with supervising, training, and development of Store Associates.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff.
• Keep bathrooms and store areas clean and presentable; manage trash and housekeeping.
