Job summary

Dollar Tree in Wetumpka, AL seeks an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, manage merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and ensure seasonal areas are maintained and compliant with policy.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, scheduling, payroll records, loss prevention, and training Store Associates to uphold standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties such as walking, standing, and lifting.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Customer service-focused and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and merchandising effectiveness
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping, and loss prevention
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and supervise store associates
• Support Store Manager in training and development of Store Associates
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional store environment
• Other duties as assigned
