Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our Evansville, IN location to help with store operations, customer service and team development.

You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, and support merchandise flow and displays while ensuring a safe, welcoming environment. The role requires strong communication and leadership skills, the ability to manage store activities, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking and standing.

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day store activities and operations.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Assist in merchandising and seasonal displays; transfer merchandise.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Support payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; enforce policies.
• Ensure a safe, friendly environment for customers and staff.
• Protect assets including store cash and adhere to safety guidelines.
• Complete other duties as assigned.
