Job summary

L.P.T Retail Management Services, LLC is seeking an Assistant Manager at our Cape Coral, FL location to serve as the Store Manager's surrogate on days off, vacations, etc. You will maximize sales and gross profit while controlling expenses and guarding company assets.

Responsibilities include managing cash, inventory, schedules, and vendor relations; training staff; monitoring fuel and price surveys; ensuring standards in safety, appearance, and security; and supporting day-to-day operations to

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and understand English; bilingual a plus.
• Willing to work long and sometimes unusual hours; stand for extended periods.
• High school level math competency.
• Collaborative work style to drive site performance.
• Insurable by company's auto liability carrier.

Responsibilities

• Maintain controls on cash, inventory and expenses.
• Transmit end-of-day reports by noon on Monday and by midnight all other days of the week.
• Make bank deposits daily by the established deadline.
• Call in fuel report by 8:00 a.m. each day.
• Analyze sales trends by shift and by day.
• Assist Store Manager in recruiting, screening and training new employees; coach and direct staff.
• Help write and enforce work schedules within labor guidelines; delegate duties as necessary.
• In Manager's absence, hire or dismiss employees only with District Manager approval.
• Cover open shifts and ensure store meets company standards (safety, appearance, security).
• Order groceries to avoid overstock/stockouts; check in vendors.
• Ensure merchandising and price changes are implemented timely; update the price book.
• Maintain the store's expense checkbook; conduct fuel and competition price surveys.
