Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations, customer service, and team development at our Jacksonville, NC location. You will assist with opening and closing procedures, merchandise flow from delivery to floor, and loss prevention while upholding company standards.

The role emphasizes strong communication, leadership, and the ability to work in a high-energy team. Prior retail store management experience and a commitment to excellent service are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives is required
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent walking, standing, and lifting activities

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas
• Perform opening and closing procedures
• Process corporate directives related to store activities
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention
• Maintain clean and organized store areas
• Protect and secure store assets including cash
• Ensure safety policies are followed and staff adhere to procedures
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and staff
• Keep bathrooms and store areas clean and presentable
• Other duties as assigned
