Job summary

GameStop Corp. is hiring for an Assistant Store Manager at Store 6636 in Northport, AL. This on-site role supports the Store Manager in all facets of operations and sales leadership, driving guest service excellence and a strong sales culture in a busy gaming retail environment.

The candidate will supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders, ensure store standards, and contribute to achieving sales, profit, and customer satisfaction goals while maintaining compliance with company policies.

Qualifications

• Must provide proof of identity and eligibility to legally work in the United States.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or accredited bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in business, marketing, merchandising, or related field preferred.
• At least 6 months of retail management experience preferred.
• At least 2 years of retail sales, guest service, and/or management experience preferred.
• Video game knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, answer questions, promote promotions, and guide purchases.
• Promote store initiatives and guest loyalty programs.
• Supervise Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling, onboarding, and training.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandizing per company guidelines.
