Summary
As an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier, you will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service and supporting the Store Manager in the overall operation of the store to meet company goals.
Responsibilities
- Assist with hiring, training, and developing store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
- Support all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager.
- Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Help protect and secure company assets, including cash.
- Follow all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Maintain a professional and friendly environment for customers, staff, and supervisors.
- Keep all store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery.
- When the Store Manager is absent, take supervisory responsibility for hourly team members.
- Process all corporate directives.
- Assist with receipt and return of merchandise and manage freight flow.
- Meet or exceed productivity standards.
- Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise and maintaining stockroom organization.
- Ensure the sales floor is effective daily and implement directives from the Weekly Bulletin.
Qualifications
- Prior retail and management experience preferred.
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
- Ability to lift and transport merchandise weighing up to 50 lbs and perform physical activities such as walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
- Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
- Flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
