Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores in Tennessee is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will support daily functions, supervise associates, and ensure a clean, well-organized sales floor.

The role involves opening and closing procedures, merchandising, loss prevention, and complying with company policies while delivering exceptional service to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; able to read and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Maintain store areas to company standards; protect assets.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping.
• Help Store Manager supervise and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a clean, safe, and presentable store environment.
• Adhere to policies and procedures including safety guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
