Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Avon, MA to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll assist with daily store activities, organize merchandise, and ensure clean, well-stocked floors and stockrooms.

The role requires strong communication and problem‑solving skills, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and the capacity to work in a high‑energy, team environment while upholding company policies and safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and provide customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Process corporate directives and maintain store records including payroll and receipts.
• Maintain store fixtures, displays, and promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and stockroom per company standards.
• Protect store assets including cash and security.
• Support Store Manager in supervising and developing Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment and professional customer interactions.
