Job summary

Family Dollar in Hapeville, GA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with daily store activities, help customers, and ensure the seasonal areas are maintained.

You will supervise and train store associates, oversee inventory, handle opening/closing procedures, and protect company assets while keeping a safe, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties as required.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Able to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process directives related to store activities and maintain fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and loss prevention.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and secure assets.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe environment.
