Job summary

StorageMart is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in the Waukee area to support store operations, improve sales, and deliver excellent customer service. You will help manage accounts and ensure the facility stays clean, safe, and well-maintained for customers and their belongings.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and a hands-on attitude, plus a valid driver’s license with vehicle. Occasional travel between stores is expected.

Qualifications

• Retail and administrative experience is a plus (training provided).
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities to address customer needs.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Hands-on attitude with willingness to work outdoors and maintain grounds.
• Must have a valid driver's license, insurance, and vehicle; mileage reimbursed for travel between stores.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Manager to enhance growth and sales.
• Deliver customer service via phone, in person, and email.
• Open, operate, and close the office; light maintenance and cleaning.
• Manage customer accounts and aid with account setup and debt administration.
• Travel between locations to support other stores while upholding standards.
