Job summary

Global Partners LP in Danbury, CT is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help the general manager with day-to-day operations while upholding company policies and procedures. This role supervises hourly staff, manages cash handling and inventory, and ensures safety, cleanliness and guest service excellence.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work flexible hours that may include day, nights, weekends and holidays.
• 1-2 years supervisory experience.
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to communicate, count, read, and write accurately.
• Must have reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in varying temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Complete required daily accounting paperwork and transmit by deadline.
• Supervise, develop, train and discipline non-exempt employees, holding them accountable for upholding operational standards.
• Monitors shift cash handling and inventory; investigates shortages/overages and inventory variations within specified thresholds.
• Maintains business records, review cashier accountability sheets and records.
• Perform banking, invoicing, payroll, and other administrative duties per company policies.
• Manage cash management procedures including bank deposits and change orders.
• Maintain Grand Opening Ready Standards and store image standards.
• Maintain high levels of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure store is secure and safe; report issues to proper authority and management.
• Coordinate gasoline deliveries and participate in promotional initiatives.
• Engage in all company promotional initiatives and guest service.
