Job Description

The Assistant Store Manager (ASM) leads the store's daily operations in the absence of the General Manager and supports all aspects of store management. Responsibilities include reviewing business results, planning for improvement, ordering supplies, ensuring excellent customer service, and supporting team members. Benefits include health insurance, 401K, and other options.

Daily Duties

1. Ensure a pleasant shopping experience for all customers.
2. Resolve customer concerns, issues, and complaints efficiently.
3. Implement and conduct hands-on training for Customer Service Associates (CSAs).
4. Supervise daily tasks and performance of all associates, including recruiting, training, coaching, and performance management.
5. Delegate tasks and follow up accordingly.
6. Support, motivate, and coach store staff.
7. Monitor and analyze business processes to meet store goals profitably.
8. Manage cash and lottery processes.
9. Perform duties with integrity, honesty, and respect.
10. Assist the General Manager with ongoing tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Experience managing and directing teams.
• Minimum of 45 hours per week, with flexible availability including weekends and holidays.
• Reliable transportation.
• Exemplary customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Goal-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 35 lbs.
