Assistant Store Manager in Springfield, IL (South 6th St)

The starting salary for this position will be $20.00 per hour!

This position is for day shift scheduled within store hours:

• Monday – Friday: 7am – 5pm
• Saturday: 8am – 12noon
• Sunday: Closed

As an Assistant Store Manager you will play a key role in the daily operations and success of the store. You will support the Store Manager in driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and ensuring a safe and efficient store environment. This role requires hands-on leadership and a strong understanding of retail operations, preferably in the paint or coatings industry.

Primary Responsibilities

• Open and close the retail store in accordance with company procedures.
• Provide exceptional customer service by identifying customer needs, offering appropriate solutions, and assisting with color matching and tinting of paint products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked retail environment.
• Safely handle, move, and store products in compliance with safety standards.
• Support daily store operations and provide leadership in the absence of the store manager.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid, unrestricted driver’s license in the current state of residence, with a clean driving record
• Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
• Physical ability to bend, kneel, crouch, and regularly lift up to 50 pounds (occasionally up to 80 pounds).
• Prior experience in a retail or commercial setting is an asset.
