ABOUT THE ROLE

Mizzen+Main is seeking a highly motivated, fashion-forward, and enthusiastic Assistant Store Manager to help lead our retail team. This role supports the Store Manager in day-to-day operations and plays a key role in driving store performance, delivering a world-class customer experience, and cultivating a positive and productive store culture.

  • Represent Mizzen+Main with professionalism, product knowledge, and a refined personal presentation.
  • Deliver and model exceptional, personalized customer service to inspire team standards and drive customer loyalty.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of current promotions, new product launches, and in-store/online events to create a seamless and informed customer journey.
  • Maintain a clean, inviting, and brand-aligned retail environment that supports an outstanding shopping experience.
  • Assist in resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner, ensuring satisfaction and retention.
  • Support the Store Manager in driving all aspects of store operations including staffing, training, sales performance, and daily execution of store initiatives.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training sales associates and keyholders.
  • Provide daily coaching and on-the-floor leadership to reinforce team alignment with sales and service goals.
  • Support daily store operations, including opening/closing duties, inventory control, and visual merchandising.
  • Help manage and maintain an organized, efficient stockroom to ensure timely replenishment and product flow.
  • Assist in executing floor sets and visual displays in line with brand standards and seasonal initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Mizzen+Main’s operational policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED
  • 1–3 years of retail or customer-facing experience; prior leadership or assistant management experience strongly preferred.

  • Proficient in using computers, tablets, and point-of-sale (POS) systems.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Availability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Able to bend, reach, stretch for product as well as lift, carry, and move at least 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, and standing for extended periods of time.
