Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Control Expenses
- Protect Company assets within guidelines of LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store work schedules that ensure proper coverage and wage control.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and conducting counts.
- Complete timely and accurate product counts.
- Maintain proper documentation and record keeping per policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store following procedures.
Additional Duties
Supervise Associates
- Act as Store Manager on duty in their absence for scheduling issues and customer complaints.
- Manage store staff through training, goal setting, and follow-up.
- Administer disciplinary actions when necessary.
- Handle scheduling and staffing, including calling in associates during peaks.
- Participate in training programs and adhere to set goals.
- Assist in recruiting and training staff.
- Ensure compliance with policies, safeguarding inventory and funds.
- Perform subordinate work as needed.
- Communicate effectively at all levels.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to produce sales results and minimize loss.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
- Standing for up to 100% of work time.
- Ability to work independently.
