Generate Sales
- Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Control Expenses
- Protect Company assets according to LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store work schedules that ensure proper coverage and adhere to wage control guidelines.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, price changes, and product counts.
- Complete product counts in a timely and consistent manner.
- Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping per policies and legal requirements.
- Open and close the store following procedures outlined in the Operations P&P Manual.
Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise Associates
- Act as Store Manager on duty during employee scheduling issues or customer complaints when the Store Manager is absent.
- Manage store associates through training, goal setting, and follow-up in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Administer disciplinary actions, including verbal and written warnings, when necessary.
- Handle scheduling and staffing, including calling in associates during unexpected peaks.
- Participate in training programs, set goals, and follow up regularly.
- Assist in recruiting and training staff on store operations and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including inventory and funds safekeeping.
- Perform subordinate work as needed.
- Communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Required Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
- Ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
- Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in operating computers and relevant software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders and work with hands overhead.
- Standing required for up to 100% of work time.
- Ability to work independently.
Preferred Job Required Knowledge & Skills
Assistant store managers can earn up to 45% above local minimum wage based on experience. Compensation varies with skills, experience, and location.
