About Our Company: General Position Summary

Generate Sales

  • Produce sales gains by providing excellent customer service.
  • Meet or exceed Company Objectives in all individual statistics.
  • Provide consistent, documented appraisals of sales performance, offering feedback on strengths and opportunities aligned with Company Objectives.
  • Adhere to visual guidelines, including proper merchandising, signage, and store cleanliness.
  • Maintain a professional appearance consistent with the Company Dress Code Policy.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Control Expenses

  • Protect Company assets following LIDS Retail policies.
  • Assist in preparing store work schedules to ensure proper coverage within wage control guidelines.
  • Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and conducting counts.
  • Complete timely and accurate product counts.
  • Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping per policies and laws.
  • Open and close the store according to procedures in the Operations P&P Manual.

Additional Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Supervise Associates

  • Act as Store Manager on duty for scheduling, customer complaints, etc., in the absence of the Store Manager.
  • Manage store associates through training, goal setting, and follow-up.
  • Implement disciplinary actions as needed in the Store Manager's absence.
  • Handle scheduling and staffing, including calling in associates during peaks.
  • Participate in training programs and adhere to set goals.
  • Assist in recruiting and training store personnel.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safeguard inventory and funds.
  • Perform subordinate work as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to generate sales and minimize loss.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency with computers and relevant software.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
  • Standing for up to 100% of the work time.
  • Ability to work independently.

Preferred Job Knowledge & Skills

Assistant store managers can earn up to 45% above local minimum wage based on experience. They are eligible for monthly sales bonuses, a 40% employee discount, and full-time benefits including Paid Time Off, health, vision, dental, and 401(k).

Education: High School Graduate or Equivalent
