Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Control Expenses
- Protect company assets following LIDS Retail policies.
- Assist in preparing store work schedules within wage control guidelines.
- Manage store inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and counting.
- Complete timely and accurate product counts.
- Maintain proper documentation and record keeping per policies and laws.
- Open and close the store as required, following procedures.
Additional Duties
Supervise Associates
- Act as Store Manager on duty when needed.
- Manage associates through training, goal setting, and follow-up.
- Handle disciplinary actions in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Manage scheduling and staffing, including calling in associates during peaks.
- Participate in training programs, adhere to goals, and assist in recruiting and training.
- Ensure compliance with policies, safekeeping of inventory, funds, and property.
- Perform subordinate work as needed.
- Communicate across all levels of the company.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent plus one year of relevant experience.
- Proven ability to produce sales results and minimize loss.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficiency with computers and software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work overhead.
- Standing for up to 100% of work time.
- Ability to work independently.
