This position focuses on generating sales through excellent customer service, meeting or exceeding company objectives, and maintaining store standards. Responsibilities include providing feedback on sales performance, adhering to visual merchandising guidelines, and maintaining a professional appearance.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities

Control Expenses

• Protect company assets according to retail policies.
• Assist in preparing store work schedules within wage control guidelines.
• Manage inventory accurately, including receiving, transferring, pricing, and counting products.
• Complete timely and accurate product counts.
• Maintain proper documentation and record-keeping in compliance with policies and laws.
• Open and close the store following operational procedures.

Supervise Associates

• Act as Store Manager on duty during their absence for scheduling issues, customer complaints, etc.
• Manage store staff through training, goal setting, and follow-up.
• Administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Handle scheduling and staffing, including calling in staff for peak times.
• Participate in training programs and adhere to sales and task goals.
• Assist in recruiting and training staff on store operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and safeguard assets.
• Perform duties of subordinates as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with all levels of staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Required Knowledge & Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent plus at least one year of relevant experience.
• Proven ability to achieve sales while minimizing loss.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with computers and relevant software.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work with hands overhead.
• Standing for up to 100% of work time.
• Ability to work independently.
