Job summary

Journeys is seeking a Store/Manager in Training to assist the Store Manager and Manager In Training with recruiting, hiring, training, and managing store personnel to achieve store and personal sales goals, control expenses, and protect company assets.

Qualifications

• Experience driving sales and meeting store targets
• Ability to train and coach employees for performance improvements
• Demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced retail environment
• Clear communication and teamwork across store personnel

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed store and personal sales goals
• Assist in recruiting and hiring of high-caliber employees
• Train and develop a successful sales team
• Provide feedback and coaching to all employees
• Ensure company initiatives are implemented to standard
• Recognize talent and develop staff for growth
• Supervise daily store operations in leadership absence
• Oversee loss prevention practices in leadership absence
• Communicate store needs to management
• Resolve customer issues effectively
• Provide a fun, full-service experience to customers
• Model Journeys culture and values
• Maintain excellent interpersonal and customer service
• Be willing to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
• Complete training leading to Co-Manager readiness
• Available to work 45 hours per week and shifts including nights/weekends
• Physical ability to climb, reach, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be at least 18 years old
