Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Ashland, KY to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You will assist with daily functions, merchandise placement, and adherence to company policies while supervising store associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environments is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communicate store activities to staff.
• Maintain store fixtures and displays' promotional effectiveness.
