Family Dollar in Wilmer, Texas is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations and deliver exceptional customer service. You will help supervise staff, manage merchandise, and ensure the store meets company standards for cleanliness and appearance.

The role involves assisting with opening/closing, payroll and scheduling, and enforcing policies while maintaining a positive, safe environment for customers and associates alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Retail store management experience preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and handle standing, walking, and repetitive motions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Support customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Maintain promotional fixtures, displays, and store cleanliness.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll/scheduling, and cash handling.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Supervise and develop Store Associates; ensure a safe and respectful environment.
