Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores INC is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Spanish Fort, Alabama to support store operations, customer service, and team development. The role involves supervising daily activities, assisting customers, organizing merchandise, and executing opening/closing procedures.

Preferred candidates hold a high school diploma or equivalent and have experience in retail management. You will train staff, manage payroll and scheduling, and ensure safety and policy compliance while

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor; maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Process corporate directives and store communications.
• Maintain promotional effectiveness of fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record keeping including payroll, scheduling, cash deposits, and receipts; participate in loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and ensure staff compliance.
• Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness throughout the store, bathrooms included; sweep and mop floors; take out trash; keep areas neat.
