Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development at our Cross, South Carolina location. You will assist with day-to-day activities, help customers, organize merchandise, and oversee opening/closing tasks.

This role requires strong communication, leadership, and problem solving to maintain store standards and provide a positive shopping experience. Part-time position with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives is required.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Lift up to 55 lbs and perform frequent walking, standing, and bending tasks.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and handle multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed
• Process corporate directives and store communications
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, payroll, scheduling, cash deposits
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to company standards
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and lead by example
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment with customers and staff
• Keep store clean, restocked, and presentable; manage bathrooms and floors
• Perform any other duties as assigned
