Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• One year of experience in a retail environment and six months supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to perform mathematical calculations and generate reports.
• Ability to operate cash register and cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service leadership; greet customers and operate cash register and scanner to itemize the customer's purchase.
• Open and close the store a minimum of two days per week.
• Assist Store Manager with scheduling employees, training, safety meetings, and policy compliance.
• Follow work processes to manage merchandise: receiving, stocking, restocking, and displays.
• Maintain accurate inventory by controlling damages, markdowns, and paperwork.
• Assist in implementation and maintenance of planograms and product presentation.
• Support financial integrity through cashier accountability and cash procedures; sign for refunds and deposits.
