Job summary

Dollar Tree in Hampton, VA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help with store operations, customer service and team development. You will assist with day-to-day activities and support a positive, efficient shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read, interpret, and explain directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and stand for long periods.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store operations and day-to-day activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Organize merchandise and maintain seasonal areas of the store.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged goods, and record keeping.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked store floors and stockrooms.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Adhere to policies and safety guidelines and supervise store associates.
• Support the Store Manager in training and developing store staff.
• Ensure a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and associates.
