Position Objective
The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to ensure great customer experience and maximum profitability. Functional Responsibilities
Performance Culture
- Analyze sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs; execute in-store business and sales strategies in partnership with the Store Manager.
- Establish and communicate clear expectations; hold store team and themselves accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
- Control payroll and supply budgets.
- Oversee operational activities such as scheduling, inventory, opening/closing duties, payroll accuracy, and merchandise flow.
- Perform financial activities including cash handling, price changes, and register transactions in accordance with policy.
- Ensure compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures; conduct associate training on controls.
- Manage inventory receipt/dispatch, replenishment, and physical inventories.
- Maintain visual presentation, organization, and facility standards.
- Develop a high-performance culture, motivating sales team to meet sales and productivity goals.
- Train and coach team in product knowledge and sales techniques.
Building High Performing Teams
- Motivate and inspire the team, fostering shared vision and core values.
- Promote inclusive, collaborative problem-solving.

Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years retail management experience preferred
- Must be 18 or older
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to learn company technology
- Proven customer service and sales leadership skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Leadership and team-building abilities
- Knowledge of store operations
- Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements
- Constant walking/standing (67-100%)
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (1-33%)
- Frequent climbing (34-66%)
