Position Objective

The Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in promoting a customer and product-focused sales culture, managing sales operations, asset protection, and human resources functions to ensure great customer experience and maximum profitability. Functional Responsibilities
Performance Culture
  • Analyze sales reports and KPIs to determine business needs; execute in-store business and sales strategies in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Establish and communicate clear expectations; hold store team and themselves accountable for achieving brand, performance, and behavior standards.
  • Control payroll and supply budgets.
  • Oversee operational activities such as scheduling, inventory, opening/closing duties, payroll accuracy, and merchandise flow.
  • Perform financial activities including cash handling, price changes, and register transactions in accordance with policy.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, loss prevention policies, and operating procedures; conduct associate training on controls.
  • Manage inventory receipt/dispatch, replenishment, and physical inventories.
  • Maintain visual presentation, organization, and facility standards.
  • Develop a high-performance culture, motivating sales team to meet sales and productivity goals.
  • Train and coach team in product knowledge and sales techniques.
Building High Performing Teams
  • Motivate and inspire the team, fostering shared vision and core values.
  • Promote inclusive, collaborative problem-solving.
  • Communicate effectively to lead positive change.

Customer Experience

  • Utilize sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers.

  • Maintain customer communication through loyalty programs and sign-ups.

  • Assist in recruiting, hiring, and developing a high-performing team.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years retail management experience preferred
  • Must be 18 or older
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Leadership and team-building abilities
  • Knowledge of store operations
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
