Summary

The Assistant Manager is responsible for assisting and consulting the Store Manager regarding overall operations and administrative duties, including determining the methods and approaches necessary to accomplish the store’s goals. The Assistant Manager is knowledgeable in each product area or department in our store. Upholds policies, procedures, and standards listed in the visual manual. The Assistant Manager is passionate about giving outstanding customer service and promoting the merchandise in stores. The Assistant Manager assumes supervisory control in the Store Manager’s absence and is trained in Store Manager Responsibilities.

Responsibilities

1. Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
2. Consult with the Store Manager to establish action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
3. Assume responsibility of the entire store in the absence of the Store Manager.
4. Assist in personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
5. Provide guidance to employees and customers in all departments when necessary.
6. Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to ensure profitability.
7. Direct staff to ensure responsibilities and standards are met.
8. Keep the Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
9. Maintain high-quality customer service.
10. Perform general administrative duties and be trained in Store Manager’s responsibilities.
11. Deliver exceptional customer service as per the customer service manual.
12. Promote and sell services and merchandise provided by Hibbett I City Gear.
13. Uphold all company policies, procedures, and standards.
14. Protect company assets and financial information, ensuring internal controls are effective and reporting potential fraud risks.
