General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Your duties include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greeting and assisting customers in a positive, approachable manner, answering questions, and resolving inquiries.
• Maintaining a clean, well-stocked store and providing excellent customer service.
• Supervising, training, and developing Store Associates on Family Dollar practices.
• Unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Assisting in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supporting loss prevention efforts and assuming management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Following all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs, and perform physical activities such as walking, standing, and climbing.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
