Page Lumber seeks an experienced Retail Assistant Store Manager for our Pawling location. This role supports daily stone yard/stock/receiving operations and drives sales, while assisting the Store Manager with the store's financial success and customer service excellence.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of building materials, lumber, millwork, and related hardware, with a proven ability to coach and lead a team and deliver strong results on weekends and through peak periods.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in related retail sales/customer service, lumber/hardware industry.
• Knowledge of building materials, lumber, millwork and/or hardware.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of stone yard/stock/receiving activities and drive sales.
• Assist Store Manager in day-to-day operations and financial success of retail floor sales.
• Manage the store in the absence of the Store Manager.

The Assistant Store Managers is responsible for the daily operation of stone yard/stock/receiving activities and in driving sales and assisting customers. Will be responsible for assisting the Store Manager in the day to day operations and financial success of retail floor sales. The Assistant Store Manager will also be responsible for the overall management and operation of the store in the absence of the store Manager.

The right candidate will have experience and knowledge of building materials, lumber and millwork.

Requirements:

• Prior experience in related retail sales/customer service, lumber/hardware industry.
• Knowledge of building materials, lumber, millwork and/ or hardware required.
• Knowledge of paint, plumbing, electrical and/or tools.
• Strong appreciation for customer service and home improvement.
• Inventory management.
• Promotes sales by demonstrating merchandise and products to customers.
• Strong analytical, communication and time management skills.
• Ability to assist Store Manager in coaching, training and developing a successful team.
• Must be able to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends.
