Job description

Overview

As an Assistant Store Manager (“ASM”), you will use your customer service and leadership experience to provide a white-glove experience for our customers. Working closely with your leaders to develop your leadership skills in real-time, you will help coach our Customer Service Representatives and play a key role in helping the team produce results. Responsibilities

Provide an exceptional customer experience throughout the full cycle of the loan or pawn process by educating consumers and making recommendations based on their financial needs. Assist in customer account management by accepting payments, monitoring, and managing customer appointments.

Provide support for recovery processes while maintaining a focus on customer service to prevent loss and charge-off accounts.

Work to meet Company-set performance standards by leveraging business-to-business partnership opportunities, obtaining referrals, and participating in and hosting in-store and community events.

Develop customer relationships to build new business, maintain store profitability, and further brand loyalty and recognition.

Provide support, coaching, and development to Customer Service Representatives to ensure adherence to quality standards and safety procedures.

Maintain customer information in the Point of Sale (POS) system with accuracy and integrity. Help ensure a work environment that upholds compliance with Company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Maintain office security protocols and conduct proper opening and closing procedures, including management of vault, cash drawer, and bank deposits.

Monitor and maintain internal and external store appearance and cleanliness, addressing basic facility needs and scheduling maintenance services.

Work efficiently in a rapidly changing and fast-paced environment and handle multiple challenging tasks with ease to meet individual and team performance standards. Utilize strong interpersonal skills to communicate and interact with customers and Team Members at all levels.

Ability to maintain a full-time work schedule with regular in-person attendance, including limited Saturday hours, is required for this position. A full-time work schedule for this position includes, at a minimum, 40-hours per week*.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Professional demeanor with customers and peers
  • Meticulous attention to detail and ability to accurately enter data
  • Valid driver's license, auto insurance, and personal vehicle to use throughout the workday (mileage compensated)
  • Proficiency in using phone, Point of Sale, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Background check required. All background checks are conducted, and their results are considered, in accordance with applicable law.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands for this position, which frequently include: the ability to remain in a stationary position, including standing up to 90% of the time, the ability to move and transport up to 25 pounds, the ability to move about inside and outside of the store, and the operation of mechanical controls, such as a keyboard.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in check cashing, document verification, and/or money order processing
  • Prior cash handling, cash drawer/vault management experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus and may be required for certain locations
