Job summary

POOLCORP in Scottsdale, AZ is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support daily store operations and lead the sales floor to deliver an outstanding customer experience. You will provide shift leadership, coaching, and ensure merchandising, cash handling, and safety standards are followed.

This role reports to the Store Manager and requires 21+ years old with a valid driver's license, strong communication, and retail skills.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older to drive a company vehicle.
• Retail and customer service experience required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Store Manager in daily store operations, customer service standards, and team performance.
• Serves as Manager-on-Duty as needed, including opening/closing the store per procedures.
• Assists with cash handling, register balancing, deposits, and daily reporting.
• Provides product expertise and hands-on support to customers; resolves routine concerns and escalates complex issues.
• Helps supervise associates during shifts by assigning tasks and reinforcing expectations.
• Ensures store standards: clean, stocked, priced merchandise and current promotional displays.
• Supports onboarding and ongoing training in customer service, safety, POS operation, product knowledge, and company policies.
• Assists with scheduling, timekeeping, and staffing coordination; supports other administrative processes.
• Coordinates with Store Manager regarding pool service/repair communication and scheduling.
