QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of one year of retail experience; Supervisory experience preferred.
- Ability to operate POS/Cash Register, schedule, and supervise store employees.
- Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, access to a vehicle.
- Pass a background check including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
- Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist.
- Ability to grasp, push, pull objects like carts, fixtures, furniture, and merchandise.
- Operate a telephone.
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive motion tasks.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Partner with the Store Manager in daily store operations.
- Take responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
- Provide coaching, training, and development to staff.
- Maintain good relations with customers and donors; resolve complaints efficiently.
- Communicate personnel issues to the District Sales Manager in the absence of managers.
- Coordinate team meetings during shifts.
- Supervise employee duties to ensure compliance with directives.
- Train new staff on store policies and customer service standards.
- Complete tasks assigned by management.
- Manage paperwork related to Time and Attendance.
- Maintain store standards, inventory, and cleanliness.
- Oversee Back Room Processing and Donation Attendants in the absence of managers.
- Manage cash flow, safekeeping, and banking procedures.
- Attend monthly and weekly store meetings.
- Ensure safety measures and report hazards.
- Protect property and consider transfer between stores if needed.
- Implement loss prevention measures.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
