About the Position:

If you have a passion for food and delivering excellent guest experiences, this role as Assistant Store Manager might be perfect for you. You will be an ambassador of the store, demonstrating hospitality and helping to strengthen team engagement and business results.

What You'll Do:
  • Lead by example in hospitality, educating guests and team members on products and services
  • Create and manage team schedules aligned with shopping hours
  • Assist in analyzing sales and operational reports to drive success
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager and Talent Acquisition to source and hire new team members
  • Partner with Guest Services for team onboarding and orientation
  • Train and coach team members to optimize operations and increase retention
  • Manage store inventory and minimize product loss
  • Ensure team adherence to company standards and policies
  • Manage the store’s social media presence
  • Enhance teamwork and engagement with store and department managers
  • Ensure safety and food safety compliance according to policies and laws
Availability:

This role requires flexibility to work weekends, days, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, with 5-7 years retail experience including leadership
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to interpret planograms, layouts, and policies

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in perishables, hospitality, or grocery retail
  • Production Planning Software experience
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Software (iCIMS preferred)
Physical and Work Conditions:
  • Repetitive movements, lifting up to 50 lbs, exposure to temperature extremes
  • Use of tools and equipment like knives, ladders, pallet jacks
  • Long periods on feet, wearing protective gear as required
