A leading company in home improvement is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Training in North Windham, CT. This position focuses on supporting the Store Manager by managing store operations, leading a team, and driving sales. Ideal candidates will have prior experience in retail, strong leadership skills, and a customer-focused mindset.
Position Purpose
Assistant Store Managers in Training are learning the various responsibilities and functions of roles such as Assistant Store Manager, Operations Assistant Store Manager, Night Operations Assistant Store Manager, and Specialty Assistant Store Manager. They will learn how to support the Store Manager in developing strategies and objectives to drive store sales and profitability through effective leadership and communication with their Associates.
Key Responsibilities
Direct Manager/Direct Reports
Reports to a Store Manager. Upon completing training, will gradually assume supervision of associate work activities.
Travel Requirements
Typically less than 10% overnight travel.
Physical Requirements
Primarily sitting with frequent movement; occasional lifting of light articles.
Working Conditions
Indoor, comfortable environment; infrequent unpleasant conditions.
