General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. This includes maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. We offer generous benefits, flexible work schedules, and the opportunity to earn quickly.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating practices.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring stock from the stockroom to the sales floor.
• Support in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Support loss prevention initiatives.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly and 55 lbs occasionally, with mobility to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, climb, push, and pull.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills in customer service, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
