Job summary

XL Parts and The Parts House (TPH) is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to oversee shipping/receiving, order fulfillment, inventory control, and customer service in our retail environment. The role includes scheduling drivers, handling cash and deposits, and maintaining a clean, safe store and warehouse.

The ideal candidate will have retail experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of working in a retail environment.
• High School Degree or GED.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly motivated to provide superb customer service.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Shipping and receiving of merchandise.
• Assemble and fill customer orders for a 45-minute delivery window.
• Inventory and cycle counts.
• Schedules contract drivers based on company business needs.
• Answers customer questions and addresses complaints.
• Store opening and closing duties.
• Handles cash, cash counts, and deposits.
• Stocks and pulls parts; answers phones.
• Keeps store and front counter clean.
• Keeps warehouse clean and provides a safe work environment.

The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for expediting shipments of parts sent and returned from or to XL Parts/The Parts House distribution center(s).

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Shipping and receiving of merchandise
• Assemble and fill customer orders to be delivered within a 45minute window
• Inventory and cycle counts
• Schedules contract drivers based on company business needs
• Answers customer questions and addresses complaints
• Store opening and closing duties
• Handles cash, cash counts, and deposits
• Stocks and pulls partsAnswers phones
• Keeps store and front counter clean
• Keeps warehouse clean and provides a safe work environment

Requirements:

• High School Degree or GED
• 1 to 2 years ofworking in a retail environment
• Highly motivated to provide superb customer service

Environmental/Occupational Health and Physical Requirements:

Typical 9-hour day to include reaching, standing, walking, kneeling, lifting and carrying. To perform the duties of this job the employee must be capable of working in a fast-paced environment. The heavy lifting of 50lbs or more may be required.
