General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork. We offer flexible schedules, generous benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on operating practices.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring merchandise.
• Support in ordering merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts.
• Take on management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs; capable of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
• Flexible full-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills: Customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
