The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This position manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence and leads store team members in servicing customers.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Lead the team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, ensuring team members execute customer service programs effectively.
  3. Coordinate with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours.
  4. Assist in setting team goals, providing feedback, coaching, mentoring, and ensuring ongoing training.
  5. Participate in hiring processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and candidate evaluation.
  6. Ensure proper handling of customer transactions, returns, exchanges, and merchandise invoicing.
  7. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
  8. Ensure compliance with company policies, including work schedules, clocking in/out, and store security procedures.
  9. Perform store opening/closing duties, including end-of-day procedures and security checks.
  10. Maintain store facilities and equipment.
  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities:

  • Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, RSS Certification.
  • Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification, ASE Certification, bilingual in multiple languages (Spanish preferred).
