Job description

Compensation Pay Range:

$15.00 - $20.00

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable.

The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. This position manages the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager is expected to lead the store team in servicing customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  1. Lead the store team in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
  2. Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc.).
  3. Work with the store manager to ensure adequate staffing during peak hours (lunch, late afternoons, evenings, weekends).
  4. Assist in setting team member goals, providing feedback, coaching, mentoring, and ensuring training updates.
  5. Participate in the hiring process by recruiting, interviewing, evaluating candidates, and collaborating on selection.
  6. Ensure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
  7. Process buy online/ship to store, transfers, and add orders promptly, contacting customers as needed.
  8. Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using electronic ledgers.
  9. Process customer returns and exchanges efficiently, issuing refunds accurately and staging merchandise correctly.
  10. Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before leaving the store.
  11. Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
  12. Ensure team compliance with policies, schedules, and clock-in/out procedures.
  13. Perform store opening/closing duties, including securing deposits, preparing bank deposits, verifying security measures, and securing the premises.
  14. Assist in maintaining the store building, parking lot, signage, equipment, and vehicles.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.
SKILLS/EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE/ABILITIES

Required:

  • Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification

Desired:

  • Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification

Fluency in multiple languages, especially Spanish, is highly desired.
